Agreed.
As I mentioned in past posts I used to love IWC. It was aspirational for me. In fact the first watch I bought when I finished med school was a big pilot. But then something changed and it became a gimmick. I still love vintage IWC. But the current models are all about chasing trends. Not creating timeless watches.

Strap and case is. I like the idea of a fully luminous dial face place. That said this seems like another example of a solution looking for a problem.

Totally betraying IWC's heritage. Very odd that they would make a bright luminous pilot/military watch where stealth would be very important..
They made a version with Vantablack hands...

My knee jerk response was that I hate it…second response, looks good on Lewis…he is edgy with his style and it works…my third thought is…
Whatever it takes to keep the cool brands going…so long as there is something for all of us…they have so many conservative, beautiful watches, including my 5002…why not?
