Yes... The AP RO is not a very sporty watch in many senses. The Patek Philippe Nautilus is also not very water resistant. Some models only have 60 meters water resistance. I personally don't recommend swimming without at least 100m water resistance.

Some manufacturers invest a lot of money in R&D to make the movements thinner and thinner. Or invest to artistically embellish the dial. Why not put a bit of that effort into the development of a case that really protects the movement? Small examples: BP,...
