1/ As for square or round, it is an eternal question. I could say that you can't get wrong, but I would go farther.
At the beginning, I would have favored the Square. After some time, I feel more comfortable with the round. I fear to get rid of the Square.
2/ Laurent Ferrier is a totally different universe. In terms of finishings, the micro rotor is among the best. But here again, I tend to favor the manual winding movement of the Classic Origins, which I find more sober, and more " intellectual ". The dials are exquisite, the hands are among the most beautiful I know. A league apart.
3/ As for the price, what I fear is that Laurent Ferrier is getting the big head... They should be careful with that. Some years ago, remember, Laurent Ferrier did have ( and rightly so ) a succès d'estime ( critical success, but it sounds better in French.
) but not lot of people was ready to buy their watches.
I love this brand, I just don't want to see it falling in some too common traps.
Best,
Nicolas
