I'm a fan of watches with astronomical/astrological themes, and of Kudoke, but...

... in this particular instance I'm not sure it works.
The Kudoke 2 is a marvel because of its minimalism, front and preferably back too (I'm currently waiting on the rose gold / black dial version that became available to order about 3-4 months ago).
In this case I find that the density of engraving detracts from the watch's essential proposition: the drama of its day/night disk mounted on top of a spartan dial. I enjoy complex dials (tachymeters, pulsometers, sub-dials, well-appointed power reserve indicators, big dates, moon phases, etc. etc.) but for me the wealth of engraved work on show above makes this watch less like a K2 and more like Kudoke's Kunstwerk pieces.
There is, of course, nothing wrong with this, but I wonder if this is a sign of too many variations on a theme diluting the theme? It's not easy for a tiny operation to diversify - it's costly and risky - so I understand what's going on here. But the trade off is that with each embellishment of the original K2 the risk is that it drifts further and further away from what made the watch great.
