Hope all is well on your end and glad you posted this, as it is worth some form of discussion. Personally, my humble two cents is that I probably wouldn’t consider such a watch. I don’t like the fact that PSM has left the company and it certainly didn’t feel like the company is moving in the right direction. Every brand needs to have some form of trajectory and evolution. I didn’t think the PSM story was compelling and certainly with the founder leaving makes me feel that capitalizing on his brand and cashing in was the objective from the start. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s my perception and I don’t like it, because there isn’t a sense of commitment. Secondly, I think most luxury sports watches from brands other than Rolex AP PP VC GP are just trying to catch on the luxury sports watch wave. I think this trend is fizzling out. The truth is it is hard to beat the likes of the aforementioned brands, because they were there at the start — they had first mover advantage. I think only Lange perhaps has managed to convinced the market that they are a viable alternative to these brands. Thirdly, the look of the watch is widely derivative of PP (dial) and Rolex (bracelet) — somewhat of a mish mash. To me it lacks identity. I might be wrong, but again I feel originality is key when designing a luxury sports watch. In which case, I think Moser at least have attempted it well, alongside Lange. It feels that PSM just wants to milk it and ride on the luxury sports watch bandwagon. No identity, not much of a story, and serves very little purpose. Lastly I think you’re a cool bloke. Enjoy the watches you have. Buy only the stuff that represents you — your style.
Cheers
