Yellow/Red gold watches invite unwanted attention?
Jul 22, 2020,08:54 AM
Been reading on this forum that (in general), forum members tend to avoid wearing yellow/red/pink/rose gold watches in public spaces. Not necessarily referring to street crime or robbery. But, do members feel more self conscious in public spaces with their J/R watches as opposed to their white metal variants? Not sure if it's a more recent (COVID era or recession era) sentiment, or if it's solely based on individual members preferences and specific public areas, or in specific (work or private) settings, where members would rather not wear J/R colored gold.
Is the general sentiment that members wouldn't wear J/R colored watches because they draw unwanted attention from the criminal element - as well as drawing unwanted attention from co-workers, acquaintances, friends, etc? Not sure if any J/R watch - regardless how classic/timeless/good taste/reasonably priced/etc - is generally avoided these days in public.
Anyone care to share their thoughts on yellow/red/rose/pink gold watches in public spaces as well as amongst co-workers and friends?
Best,
Robert
