. . . level of respect for originality as RM due to their uncanny parallels of fusing unique case designs and mechanical innovation to create entirely new genres; neither has a precedent when viewed in total, even though there are certainly critical aspects of both that existed prior to their respective appearances. The cause for my neglect of Urwerk in my original reply to Geo is simply a matter of personal indifference to the product . . . their creations simply do not resonate with me as do RM's. I have a mountain of respect for Urwerk, but little affection . . . with RM, their adherence to classic design frameworks that concomitantly encompass truly original design formulas makes them a potentially great marque that will be viewed in decades to come in the same light as the great established houses of watchmaking. I'm not sure that Urwerk has that same potential . . . that's the seminal reason for not listing them initially. Re G-F and multi-axis tourbillons: I was under the impression that Prescher was a contemporary . . . am I mistaken about this, too?
