Undervalued
To underline the unappreciated quality of Movado I share my simple watch being worn today. Calibre 150MN movement with Geneva stripes, adjusted to 4 positions, 3 gold chatons, fancy hands and modified Breguet numbers all contained in a then and still fashionable good sized rectangular, 18ct white gold, curved back case.
This watch a few years ago had failed to reach its modest reserve at a large London auction from the estate of a Dutch collector with a large portfolio to sell. After the auction ended I managed to do a deal. It was too good a lot to miss.
Recently serviced, it keeps good time for an 84 years old-timer.
