The Art of letting go for a new acquisition? How do you do it ?

Hello!

Currently, I am considering buying a Rolex Cellini Moonphase that I liked since its release at Baselworld in 2017.  In general terms I don't have an issue to fund the purchase but the option to turn one or more watches that I didn't wear a lot into a credit toward a new one is tempting (not just financially, but mentally perahps💭🤔 ) .  I don't really like to sell watches but, already last year, I tried this system of exchange through a reputable AD.

How do you let go the watches that you liked but, may be given the limited wrist-time, not loved ?🧐

OR

is it perhaps the kick to buy the next thing, a new watch, that is very tempting ? 🥸

Furthermore, how do you react to the possible loss or a watch that you bought recently (say within 1 year or so) and now can only be sold back by taking a hit ?😏

Thanks for your input 👏
