Hello, Ben,

You're absolutely correct when you say that the Polaris ( as many others ) used the EPSA case created by Piquerez in 1956.

AFAIK, there was no watch made by Piquerez.

Therefore, JLC made the Polaris since 1963 ( Proto ) and the first series were relelased in 1965.

I don't see any problems about re editing a watch from the Past.

JLC did it once, Patek use to do it, too, and some other brands, too.

Revisiting  your own Past is not scandalous.

It is even fine, to me.

Revisiting the Past of  other brands than yours is much more discutable, IMO.
