Some of the commentators in this thread imply that its the "intention that counts," and that this somehow excuses the misconduct. As I see it the intentions include:
(1) Supporting counterfeiting as a criminal enterprise
(2) Showing utter disregard for intellectual property rights
(3) Misappropriating the work of others
(4) Encouraging dishonesty and misrepresentation
Perhaps there was also an intent to amuse a friend who will know it's a fake, but is there some other sense I'm missing in which this is not a knowingly bad act?
