The only time I have been with just a single watch was for probably about 13 years. The watch was (and still is) a Seiko sports 100 chronograph. I've had it now for about 25 years and still find it beguiling when I put it on each time.
It cost £166 new (I still have the original details) which was probably about a months wages at the time!!! and it has served me perfectly for all this time.
I do now have some others to choose from, but irrespective of price or suggested worth, the Seiko is still a power to be reckoned with and I don't think it will ever be replaced as my 'only' watch in future
