Guilty as charged...
I am actually a psychiatrist (still in training), but there's little reason to quibble.
I have never owned either a Rolex or a VC Overseas, so I doubt I can tell you anything about them that you don't already know. From the post showing the VC on a mountaintop, it appears that at least one owner finds them sturdy and reliable. There aren't scientific studies...so it's all anecdotal evidence.
Other than just getting whichever appeals to you. Ask yourself if you want the most-trusted, most-popular high-end watch in the world or whether you want something a little rarer, a little off the beaten-path. You can't go wrong either way. Are you a rebel or a team-player?
Regards,
Jon
