That’s amazing … you just described everything that is wrong with the watch industry today.
Bravo. 👏
Watches to me are far more than “objects”. They represent emotive elements in one’s life … my father’s watch is not just an object but a connection I feel I have with the man.
My first Royal Oak is not just an “object” to me. It represents and celebrates the first deal I closed when I started my own company when I was 32.
When a brand start to only looks only at short term ROI and not long term brand loyalty and success… then they consider each watch an object and not an experience, when every customer is measured purely on how much he has in his wallet today and not the virtues he expounds and his potential to buy tomorrow … gosh well done.
Bravo again. All that the watch industry has become today … cold and lifeless with executives more interested to look at excel sheets and meet with their shareholders than to meet with their loyal collectors … everything that is wrong with the industry and it’s misplaced priorities.
I’ll return to my grapes … surprisingly sweeter now. ☺️
