I agree that the discussion got a bit heated up. Ideally, this shouldn’t happen. But I think that members should be able to deal with that by themselves, unless there’s really discriminatory content etc.
Also, I think locking or deleting threads should be the last resort. Mods should send the delinquent a PM asking him to stop the argument first. I’m pretty sure that this will suffice in almost 100% of the cases.
As regards the locking of the Cpt’s post, yes, it was a bit provocative but in a positive way. Therefore, IMO it wasn’t right to lock it. Cheers.
