Are you kidding?
Personally I couldn't care less if my outfit doesn't match my watch but let me get this straight: The thought process that goes into the watch that I should be wearing for the occassion by far outweight the thoughts on the clothes I put on!!! 
And if it really doesn't match, I'll take the clothes off and start again JUST so that they match my watch better but NEVER the other way around!
For me I think of the occasion and duration a lot more: whether the place I'm heading could post potential hazard to my watch and if so, better put on a bloody long sleeve shirt even if it's 40 celcius outside! I actually prefer short trips during the day so that I can come home and switch for another one!
