the Patek 5196P. That itself is a redial , resize / enlarge version of something meant to be much purer. A look at the high second hand at 6 o'clock already suggests why it shouldn't be produced in the first place.
It is such a beauty in term of styling but the lack of attention to have a fitting movement totally destroy it.
Destroy is too strong a word to use but what I'm trying to say is it leaves behind a taste that we all know it is not created with perfection in mind. It is created for the market because people want bigger watch. So with this intention , come a gorgeous 5196P with enlarged case, super small movement that need to have closed case with a second hands almost in the middle of the dial.
This kind of compromise is a total anti intellectual appeal to me.
Dato is the opposite of this example, hence it belongs in my category smile
