and re-iterate, "good luck with being done"... As one's knowledge increases, so does the appreciation and I suspect the ability to "turn off" the world of micro-mechanical art, will be next to impossible to do. Given available funding, you will find other...

I'm not sure we as collectors and appreciators of "fine things" can now just turn it off...maybe I'm naive, but as an observer of human nature and given the available funds, we will almost allways want add something to "The Collection". Nothing in life/na...

The comparison between stocks and watch collecting is, hmmm, interesting and odd, in my view. As you pointed out, how many stocks should one "hold", that's right, one "holds" a stock or many for that matter but a watch? One doesn't "hold" a watch, no no. ...

....and much of what you say resonates with me. Watches are not stocks and that element of passion may well be why the approach is different.....after all, I seem to need to keep adding watches to my collection but have absolutely no desire to keep adding...

I like that methodology......that would make collecting a really challenging process....but it would put a stop to the ever-ending expansion of the collection...but at the same time keep it very refined. Best Joe
