My thoughts...
....I think this is like a leather jacket in a military cut- no doubt that its not an original, but acceptable because its turned the point of being classical, which is the ultimate compliment to JLC (and the ultimate goal is still to have the original).
Not everyone was in the military but the style can still be worn. Not everyone can get a polaris, but they can give a nod in the general direction. Honestly, I have a couple of pilots watches that are orignal and too expensive to wear when I doing rough work, so I do have one of these homages- it allows me to wear the style I love and keep my mind on the job rather than the watch (I buy my watches to wear but some of my work would destroy them...been there!)...
Now if there was any label on the dial that would be a different story. If the watch style was more 'modern' and market focused, that would be another story again.

The lack of branding doesn't sway it for me. If I can't have the real JLC, I'd rather buy something with its own integrity such as a Polerouter Sub or Longines Legend Diver. Best, J.
