How about after-sales service?
I have owned JLC - master geographic. When it got 5 years old, it stopped. So, I took it to Wempe and had it sent to JLC service center (which is, I was told, also in somewhere in NYC). Later I was told it would take 22 weeks. Not 2 months, but 22 weeks - which is almost half a year (a bit exagerated). I tried to contact the JLC USA "why the heck does it take so long just to routine service maintenance?"... no conclusive answer. I had an impressoin that JLC is very "distant" from the owner. This may be only me and I am sure there are many who have received great service from JLC. BUT, I somehow decided to be a bit away from the brand and sold the watch away when it finally came back.
Now, when it comes to GO, if you live in or near the tri-state area, there is a great AD in CT who has particualrly strong relationship with GO and I bought two GO from them with very much confidence in case something might happen. I have not yet experienced GO servicing, but I am comfortable thanks to that AD who will certainly take care of me.
Well, these are just my experience and others must have different, or quite possibly opposite experience with those brands. My point is, while I understand and agree with the cyber impression method (which I admit that I use quite often myself), in the end, others' experience are after all others' and not yours. Having said that, I would perhaps count on those "others'" opinion or experience a lot on my own decision, too
So, in light of that. I would go for GO - without any reason particular to those particular models.
My very humble and much less than 0.001 cent worth of comment.....
Good luch and enjoy this process!
