What happens to the watch is that it ends up on the secondary market brand new.
Here is an example I saw today on our singapore buy and sell website.

I would have to check exactly when. But the dealer I work with, I have a 20 year relationship. Maybe they don't discount for everyone, but I get everything at discount, except boutique purchases.

Yep, They like to sell with high MSRP now. More money for them. AD's no longer allowed to give discounts.
The massive discounts are on the secondary market via the sacrifice watch "games" You guys may not be aware as much as to what is going on. We see it daily here in Asia. You know how watch crazy we are.
