I got a very small discount from the AD. But it was more of a total package because I also sold some watches back to my AD to finance this watch.
My AD was more generous with the buyback prices for their used watch campaign, so I can't really separate the two.
But I must also say that this watch was a "life project" and a "love project" for me. I wanted exactly this watch and no other. 18 pieces worldwide. And the workmanship and quality are brilliant. 
I don't regret it for a second.
In fact, the price is completely irrelevant for me once I own a watch. I will never (!) sell this watch. So that is the resale price for me in theory. If I am forced to for economic reasons, then I naturally hope that the price does not fall too much. You don't actually see these watches on C24 either.
For me, GP is in a completely different league in the highest end area. The prices are astronomical, but GP can really keep up with the best of the best.
With the Laureato they want to get in on the "sports-watch-with-integrated-bracelet-hype". And this market is very competitive and diverse.

I would have to check exactly when. But the dealer I work with, I have a 20 year relationship. Maybe they don't discount for everyone, but I get everything at discount, except boutique purchases.

To „make it work“for a broader mass, you need to have a longterm strategy for the products, the quality of them, the service and the price. GP and many other brands don‘t have that.

My problem is that I love most of their models. So once I own one, it’s almost impossible to let it go. I did recently sell my Starbucks, but only because I thought its size was just a little bit too big. 40 mm is really my limit.

Everyone has their preferences and for all of us they change over time. For me, for daily wear Rolex is still best. Sure I prefer FPJ or Patek with a suit. But Rolex plays there as well.

The massive discounts are on the secondary market via the sacrifice watch "games" You guys may not be aware as much as to what is going on. We see it daily here in Asia. You know how watch crazy we are.
