Not a stupid question at all.
Bamford has money. I’m sure they need to help foot the dev costs and such. Also commit to certain number of pieces.
The Bamford Ghost laureato white ceramic did quite well on the market but only 88 pieces made in white ceramic 38 mm. Grey market prices have held strong.
So I think this is a cash flow, confidence and branding strategy thing. GP could have done it themselves.
I think we will see production variants come out in the future.

First they could have done it alone, I don't see what Bamford adds to the mix, no disrespect to them. Then sure it's an original reissue but the price is extravagant for what's on offer. I don't know, maybe the laureato anniversary will be more enticing.
