And I thought I've been clear! ;-)) Let me slightly rephrase it, since I think these are useful points to make, given the large amounts of money many of us spend on our beloved watches...
What I'm saying is that, like Thomas (and you, as I just read your reply below), I worked hard for my money. That is my "condition." And I do enjoy on watches (and other hobbies) much of the money that I earn, 100% happy to be able to do that -- no moral concerns!
I wasn't commenting on other situations, nor contemplating that someone can buy watches they cannot afford (but lucky them if they do! ;-))
Quite unfortunately, some folks (not me and you, but some do) question the notion of spending high amounts of money, given that *others* cannot afford to do the same. Hence my "politically incorrect" reference. As I said above, I have ZERO problem with doing that with my own money -- in fact, I love to see anyone, not just me, enjoy life and their hard-earned salary as a means to be happy!
Hope this clarifies, and we might even agree on the general point given your reply below. I think this is actually a good discussion to have occasionally, given the many (economically) successful folks we have on this forum and the beautiful but VERY expensive passion that we share here!
Cheers.
