Baxter, The answer to your question is entirely subjective, as it depends on what makes "collecting" worthwhile to the individual. If you like the Yachtmaster, who cares what a dealer thinks of it? Watches are unlikely to prove a useful financial investme... 

I never understand how stainless steel can be "worthy" of collection, it really a bet against the future demand market. A better "worthwhile" collection would need to comprise of more uncommon pieces or pricier option of the common models. With SS models,... 

IMHO, if you're looking for future value - you should choose the model which the "crowd" don't buy today...the least sold today will be the most scarce in future. this is exactly what makes vintage Daytona expensive..it is rare. If Rolex would have sold a...
