Horological Meandering

This just in! Sinn U50

I haven't posted a lot of late, too many things going on recently. But I just got this 4 days ago, and I thought I'd share a couple of pics.

First impressions is that it wears very nicely, due to the restrained proportions. It also feels rock solid on the wrist, especially on the bracelet. It is surprisingly hefty for its size, and reminds me somewhat of the Rolex Sea Dweller 16660 that I used to own. Except that the Sinn is far less top heavy and sits more flush on my wrist. On the rubber strap, the watch is extremely comfortable. Accuracy is +3 sec. / day so far, so very adequate. Legibility in day time is excellent, as expected. Lume is not the best I have owned (that would be my ex Tudor Pelagos), or the worst (that would be my ex IWC 3717), but on the flip side it lasts very long and does the job.

For those wondering, I chose the full tegiment option (case, bracelet, and also the deployant clasp on the rubber), as this is going to be my beater for gym, swimming, tennis, hiking, sailing etc.

Altogether, I think Sinn have done a very good job with this model, and I am looking forward to many adventures with it.
