Rolex

Just back from service - how it was missed!!!

Not quite in league of prestige as the recent posts on 16660, or the recent Comex made me even more aware how much I was missing my usual daily companion!!

The service took 7 weeks in the UK, and I received the phonecall it was ready on Christmas eve, but couldn't get to the AD to pick up until this last weekend.

Immaculate - they've done a good job - its the first time its been serviced - 2007 watch.

I understand at one time you received a Rolex report (summary of work as part of the receipt), but all I received with the invoice from the dealer was a booklet - outlining the 10 steps of a service - and a plasticised paper service guarantee.

(oh, and the watch was in a platic box)

The temptation was there to adjust the strap on this standard 14060M sub and stick it on my wrist. But no, I managed to resist - this was bought the month my son was born, and will be his when he is old enough (the age of that will probably alter as he grows up - or not as the case may be!!).

.....and the tempetation to peel off the protective stickers and remove the tags etc was very strong!!!!

Cheers Tony
