...if the movement were larger, the sub seconds dial could (and should) be lower...

We both understand why, but in fairness, watch makers cannot economically design and make many different sizes of the same calibre. It's the reality. Kind regards, Antony

and then it'd be about 37mm, a tad too small for my taste. I'm perfectly reasonable, I want everything! Balancing the commercial realities of movement development/manufacture/finishing, case size, price, and dial finish, I think that this is a fair compro...

Not specifically referencing your beautiful piece above but I feel that too many high-end watch manufacturers make certain compromises and/or cut some corners.

To me the reality is that larger companies have the resources to do everything in depth. Chopard is an excellent example of this. The indies are in a very different position. Time only is one thing but as soon as you add complications, well, things happen... 

but I have a feeling that they're just getting up to speed. I expect too many tempting things in the future. Kind regards, Antony

I used a Lumix GX9 with an Olympus 25mm f1.2. The Olympus is a great lens. The combo made the picture taking easy, no skill required. Just my sort of thing! Kind regards, Antony

The guilloche work is magical. Certainly unlike others in the product line. Hope it works to QF standards. Bravo my friend.
