Cartier Tank Francaise
As suggested in a previous post, I bought my first Cartier watch yesterday — Tank Francaise, Medium Size, Stainless Steel. I also looked at a Santos Dumont and a Tank Americane. Both of these watches are on straps and given that I already have a Reverso and a Gondolo on straps, the bracelet made more sense. Plus, I liked the Francaise much more. I never expected to buy a quartz watch again — but the new design and simple beauty of this Tank simply won the day. I have to admit that the Rami Malek and Catherine Deneuve video, by Cartier, a work of art, plus the conversation between the two, were strong motivations for buying the watch. You need to watch the videos — great fun.
The Boutique experience was exceptional—I have had others with Hermes, Montblanc, JLC, Tiffany — and, this was among the best.

Yes! It's rare indeed to see someone who's actually familiar with watches and careful when sizing bracelets. I've seen bracelets with chewed up screw holes and other scratches. Ugh!
