I confess with my magic day job (a line I will use now!) I have no idea why the years-past former owner of WPS would be an arbiter of anything.
I have met Dr Mao, and I think he'd be entertained.
Tim's argument is poor, it's simple (to be fair, it's literally an IG post), and it's been debunked with evidence that includes pictures. I don't think the purpose of WPS is to revere former members. WPS is more for people who are interested in watches.
