I will come out of retirement and say the following and then retire again.

if this has made them raise their game then great. They have been a sorely overlooked brand for a long time previously displaying much hidden workmanship and for whom I have a soft spot. This despite not playing a harpsichord, nor enjoying the peek of an occasional ankle.
Thanks for the comments, but for comparison, I have >30 years experience and know what I'm looking at with my 10x loupe. Members of this formerly illustrious place, please remember that I have no commercial skin in this game and call it how I see it. I also know how to form an inner angle.
Oh the irony....... the well finished movement is the one 'on social media' and the awful finished movement (and so called prototype) that they known attempt to debunk and refer to as 'Social Media' themselves is based on the video and images shown on Breguet's own website....... It's up there now if you wish to check.
I took the trouble to review pieces in London and Paris...... I now remember as I was lucky to enjoy Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré one last time before our lockdowns.
Oh, and under a gem certified 10x loupe.
They were crushingly disappointing. I did not purchase as a result.
Tabster, you are indeed lucky that your NOS piece (older) from a grey dealer is ok (what you told me in separate comms.)
My observation is that they clearly released pieces into the wild that were substandard.
Thus, I advise collectors to closely inspect prospective purchases sample by sample.
Yet, on this recently I have also been underwhelmed.
I recently reviewed the 7137 and 7337, with credit card in hand and could have cried.
However, I will continue to hope for the best for Breguet and monitor how the execution of finishing develops.
