I rented one of these in Miami back in 2007. I hadn’t driven a manual gearbox car in a while - or stick shift as it’s called in the US. I couldn’t believe that I was so bad in missing the 1st to 2nd change - kept going into 4th from 1st. When my son and I stopped for dinner I went online to find out that if the revs were below a certain threshold the gate to 2nd closed off to push you into 4th as the engine had so much torque that the assumption was you didn’t need the acceleration 🤣

rather frequently, not so much anymore. There are still a few around where I live, they come out on a nice day to drive through the park, or go to the Plaza.

on my computer, a game called Need For Speed on Amiga 500. This was my favorite car, 7.9 liters of pure torque, it was reaally hard to keep the car straight. Should be fun to drive one for real.
