Autonomy, not electric drive, is the enemy of the driving enthusiast. Many performance cars today already have all-wheel drive, torque-vectoring differentials, automatic transmissions, and computer-based stability control; the driver is half a passenger already. At this point the main difference between a Panamera and a Taycan is that the Taycan is quicker and corners flatter. But if autonomy catches on, you're just as likely to see cars sold with only auxiliary steering wheels by 2035.
