Electric and hybrid cars are still a good deal of fun to drive. With so many gas-powered cars already laden with all-wheel drive, torque vectoring, stability control, and automatic transmissions, "gas-powered" no longer means "involving" or "emotional" the way it would in, say, a 4-speed fuel injected 1965 Corvette. Something like an M5 no longer requires any more input or driver engagement than a Tesla S P100.
