If the AD is anything like the one here you got a hard sell..

I don’t think it’s as bad as many people make out TBH. That said they will never please the purists and so it has been proven in this instance. That said for the new watch guy who wants an AP just walking off the street he will likely buy and over time the ugly duckling will turn into a swan.

To big, to thick, but the movement is great, the sapphire crystal amazing and the case and sculpted lugs very cool IMO alas it will never be for me - a shame but true

I must admit that we were excited to be able to try but they didn’t make my heart skip a beat I’m afraid. For me the biggest issue is the thickness of the case at 10.7mm for a time/date only watch and the uninspiring dial layout. The double curved crystal...

It sure does look large on your wrist.

like a fried egg on strap.

It must be so hard to introduce a new line/model, especially if you have a following for the Royal Oak. It can not be the same as the RO but it also can not be to different or your loyal fan

will not like it. But to appeal to a `new` group of clients it should be different , more modern perhaps surely with different design concepts. What a risk for AP to undertake this, but needed to not end up with only one selling model line. It will take t...

We are a harsh bunch.

It’s not just AP... AP CODE 11.59 looks like Armani. PP Twenty 4 automatic looks like Michael Kors. JLC Polaris (Chrono) looks like Fossil.

Definitely not buying this

There are no more AP DNA with this Code 11:59 and I have no idea why they use this code, it's catchy and that's about all. No stainless steel model. I might as well get a Lange for the price I have been told. The new chronograph, AP in-house, with flyback...

Wow, how did they manage that?

I still can't believe how this made it to production for such a reputable company. I will be very interested to see what happens to the pre-owned market for these in a few years time.

Some people say that it is selling well.

So it’s still not a mistake. There’s still an opportunity to improve the line with textured dials, smaller case, and steel.
