After some in-the-flesh-time with the revised Datograph. Your sentiments do not surprise me.
If not for the overwhelming success of the Datograph, I think we could better receive this new piece. Alas, you are right. The triangular order, the driving force to why I love the original, is ruined with the power reserve indicator.

My view on the novelties is that they are ALL EXCELLENT.
I love each of the new watches released this year, as much as i love the previous ones, and can see no reason to complain. Lange is still the finest brand in the world.
