Will the sales associate only sell in his specific "shop in shop" or will he be able to sell all brands? The brand wants a dedicated person. But the salesperson doesn't want the risk, they want to sell all brands. Thus, when a salesperson is limited, they'll want a higher pay to offset their risk. And the good salespeople have options. The mediocre ones are a dime a dozen, but the good ones write the sales volume for the whole store! Imagine if you sold fashion and if Balenciaga has a couple bad seasons, obviously commission based, you'd wish you could sell YSL, Gucci, etc. You wouldn't limit yourself to a Balenciaga store without negotiating a higher pay. And if you did limit yourself to a Balenciaga store without negotiating a higher pay, either you're a huge believer in Balenciaga or you are unstrategic (which also means you're probably not a top sales person, since top salespeople are very strategic - they know Art of War by Sun Tzu AND Machiavelli). So, back to the question, in your multi-brand store, would the salesperson sell just one brand or all of them?
