Wrist Scan's memorial for Jeff Beck . . .
Jan 20, 2023,11:09 AM
. . . starts now.
Jeff was one of the all-time bests. Got to see him perform once forty years ago; unforgettable. There's video footage of the encore performed with some of his pals.
As luck would have it we left early to beat traffic, so the once-in-a-lifetime chance of seeing Beck, Page, and Clapton playing together was missed.
😬
Forty years passed, never to experience his magic again. And now, he's gone. Hard to believe, harder to accept.
Jeff was a maestro throughout his career - he apparently never lost his touch.
This concert footage is from ten years ago . . . every bit as brilliant a player as he was when I saw him in '83. One of the fondest memories of my life was seeing Jeff on stage with so many other greats - Eric, Jimmy, Ray, Charlie, Bill, Andy, Joe, and others. What I wouldn't give to relive that moment.
Please share your memories of Jeff and other favorite guitarists along with the watch on your wrist. I'm wearing my ca '53 Ω ref 2608 . . .
. . . today.
