Another good Masthead choice. It's a fun but difficult task choosing the best shot of the week. I wonder if there is a simple way to get everyone involved in voting for their favourite photo of the week to be used as the Masthead? Another way to get Puris...

The direct sunlight caught the gray granularity of the dial. It was nice to have the Submariner at the beach. Next I will have to try diving with it (after a pressure test I think). Andrew

Came back two weeks ago from servicing and calibration. It is keeping excellent time now, adding just 1 minute after a whole 10 days when it was adding 5 minutes a week before. Happy weekend all! Richard...

thanks Hans. i've got 2 GS's, both 60's both handwind, but 1 low beat and 1 hi beat. they sort of fit into the 'other' category. Best Graham

Seiko GS, but what is the difference between Hi and low beat? is it 18 and 24,4? Or what are they running at? Cheers Hans

well your pretty much on the button Hans, a low beat would be 18000bph or perhaps 19600 in a chronometer and a true hi beat is 36000bph although a lot of companies used to call 28800 a hi beat. Ginger is the queen of the Hi Beat, thats pretty much all she... 

Hi Graham That ticking away must be like music in your ears... I believe the fastest I have is 28800 A/h or 4Hz on several watches. But would actually love a Zenith El Primero calibre. Plus must be precision and on a chronograph the resolution. minus must... 

. . . and let's include Eterna, Longines, Minerva, and all the other manufacturers that produced quality watches for common folks back then.

Seeing them more and more on this forum, and this one is very nice. Something about the older ones that stands out, and this is definitely one of them. Richard
