the black dress is from Givenchy.
That original black dress was sold at Christie's for almost 700.000 Euros.
She was a long and good friend to Hubert de Chivenchy, who made her for decades movie costumes and also her privately worn wardrobe.
The role of Holly Golightly was first offered to Marilyn Monroe but she declined.
I think the reason was that Monroe did not want to play a call girl at that time.
I am sure Marilyn Monroe would have been also very good in that role.
