Favorite Movie Scenes Week on Wrist Scan . . .

Feb 21, 2020,08:45 AM

. . . is live!

Motion pictures are more than the sum of their parts, but there are scenes so compelling they practically define the film.  Two from last year: Joaquin Phoenix playing opposite Robert DeNiro in Joker . . .

. . . and Brad Pitt's masterpiece from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

I love the bit where Pitt puts down the milk carton and takes off his wig in that scene.

smile

How about final scenes that put the final wrap on a film?  Two come immediately to mind: Orson Welles other masterpiece, The Third Man . . .

. . . and the subliminally penetrating ending to . . .

. . . Being There.

Memorable lines?  We can start with Alfonso Bedoya . . .

. . . and end with Humphrey Bogart.

;-)

Action scenes?  Steve McQueen in The Getaway . . .

. . . and Paul Newman in Hombre . . .

. . . work for me.

Scenes that steal?  Donald Sutherland in JFK . . .

. . . and, of course, the scene.

Kindly share the movie scenes that capture your imagination, along with the watch currently gracing your wrist.

I've been wearing a vintage Omega this week.

 By: Subexplorer : February 22nd, 2020-06:40
... from favorite pictures. You made me think about some unforgettable scenes of my favorite films which have left an indelible mark in my heart. I choose three films from the 1960's which I feel are classics of that era and also classics of the XX Centur...

Muchas gracias amigo mio! [nt]

Fantastic theme, Art. I love movies and plenty of choices.. Perhaps I will start with the first..

 By: Seeks : February 22nd, 2020-09:04
The first movie I watched in the cinema with my parents was 007 The Spy Who Loved Me. Sir Roger Moore in top form, and they had an excellent cast, including the Lotus Esprit! What a treat for a kid Here’s a screen shot with a recent Seamaster. Thanks Art ...

Great shot dear Seeks!! That Lotus was an awesome car!! It even transformed in a submarine!! Who knows the surprises the new Bond film will bring to us 007 fans! Well...

 By: Subexplorer : February 22nd, 2020-09:26

Thank you dear Abel !

 By: Seeks : February 22nd, 2020-09:44
And yes you are right ! High anticipated. Waiting for the April release. From the trailer and online news, there will be a handful of Aston Martins. Some sort of roll call. Perhaps Sean Connery drove the best first... ...

Ahh Yes, Connery did a wonderful Bond and left his imprint to the character. For me the best Bond. I am eagerly waiting for the release of the new film...

 By: Subexplorer : February 22nd, 2020-09:49
... having been a Bond fan since the first film which I viewed around 1965 I guess. And of course IΒ΄m eagerly waiting for my new SM Bond watch as well. Lol! Best, Abel
