There have been some suggestions added to this thread for models no longer in production and even long out of production. If you expand your options to that entire universe, then I will require a lot more of your time and space to discuss this matter. ;-)
The Traditionnelle Manual in Pt. still looks to be in the catalogue. You think this might bore you in the long run. So, don't go for that one. I think it is a perfect dress watch I would never tire of, but again, that's just me.
The advice on holding off on the 1921 until the 100th anniversary (technically it has already happened) arrives with, presumably, a new 1921 or two piece(s) announced may be wise. But if you don't like the price of the 1921 now, I am betting you really won't like the price of any special anniversary pieces.
