I just picked up a VC Traditionnelle manual wind (pre-owned from 2019). My winding experience sounds (no pun intended) identical to yours. It is silent. The watch keeps great time (-1s/day) and I am still learning when the watch is fully wound. I stop winding at the first sign of resistance, but so far that's only gotten me about 45 hours of power reserve, so I am slowly increasing the number of turns.
So yes, I think all is well with our watches. And congratulations, that is a beauty!

Congrats first of all on your new piece. You’re right, the 4500 AS movement doesn’t make any noise when wound apart from the dial back when crown is released, or resistance when fully wound. It’s totally normal. Enjoy it.

There is actually nothing wrong with your watch. They wind smoother than silk. Enjoy it it’s a wonderful time peace
