In short, it is absolutely normal. And you can wind, and should wind both directions of the crown.
I discussed it with the factory years ago and they explained they had two mechanisms available, one for premium versions (see platinum at the time) and one for ‘normal’ editions. For the premium ones they were using the version where it was buttery smooth and you could not feel almost anything at all. On the other one, you could feel lot more resistance and sound.
They had showed me multiple versions of various models to prove it was by design/intent and no coincidence.
That was many years ago, so not sure what they apply nowadays.

Congrats first of all on your new piece. You’re right, the 4500 AS movement doesn’t make any noise when wound apart from the dial back when crown is released, or resistance when fully wound. It’s totally normal. Enjoy it.
