A watch & a painting
Since this is my 20k post, I wanted to make it a little special.
So here is my Cornes de Vache with an encaustic painting by a dear friend. She is an illustrator and painter.

The
painting is inspired by
Rembrandt's
Portrait of Hendrickje Stoffels,
his
housekeeper with whom he fell in
love and with whom he had a
daughter, Cornelia, in 1654.

I felt that the
colours of the
watch matched those of the
painting perfectly.

I take this
opportunity to say, once again, that I am
honored and
happy to be part of this
community and to
thank you
all for
making this site this
special place where we can
joyfully share our
passion.

Here is the
Portrait of Hendrickje Stoffels (probably 1654-6 - dimensions 101.9 × 83.7 cm) by
Rembrandt Van Rijn (1606 - 1669)
It is on
display at the
National Gallery in
London.
