This innovative timekeeper bears the signature of Ulysse Nardin’s partner and musician, Dieter Meier. It made its world debut in Zurich on March 13, 2013. Manufactured in a limited edition of 99, the masterpiece was introduced and presented to a circle of selected guests.
To set the time, the crown function is activated by a pusher instead of pulling the crown out in the traditional way. This masterpiece enables the owner to adjust the time with exceptional ease.
“Stranger” is a fusion of music and time, aesthetics and function; it was inspired by Ulysse Nardin’s Partner, the musician (Yello) and conceptual artist Dieter Meier, who became a shareholder in the enterprise of his friend, Rolf Schnyder, in 1983.

“Stranger” was introduced to the press and friends of Ulysse Nardin in Zurich on 13 March 2013. Sandra Studer, the well-known presenter, talked about “Function and aesthetics of the wrist watch” with Dieter Meier, the “Godfather of Techno-Music“ and Dr. Ludwig Oechslin, the mastermind behind the development of new mechanisms for mechanical timekeeping. Star trumpeter Till Brönner provided the musical accompaniment for the presentation, including his own interpretation of “Strangers in the night”.

And damn good looking, too! I agree, it is nice to see UN give us this sort of original excitement. We have been waiting several years now, IMO. Perhaps we were spoiled when these sorts of amazing creations were coming out a bit more frequently.

As I wrote in Anthony's presentation,
