another beautiful watch that you've brought to my attention.

i have to say that while wearing a watch increases its value to the individual who wears it, the value to everyone else, i.e., the market goes down precisely because the more it is on your wrist, the more it becomes simply yours and the possibility of it becoming someone else's diminishes.  of course, if we can polish all the personality out of it, and get a brand new strap that shows no evidence of having ever been anyone else's, then it becomes more marketable because it is somehow less personal.
