The fixed price menu ...

 

... itself is not a new idea (the term fixe prix goes back at least to the 1880s in France) but the package here with Internet ticket sales for a fixed number of seats (2, 4, 6 or 8 people, although you can phone and make arrangements for odd numbers if they can accommodate) like a theatre ticket is new to us. And they really do want you to think of this as 'culinary theatre'. The music, lighting and even video projections are designed to complement the specific monthly menu - we had 70's disco music, mirror balls and Muppets (Miss Piggy)!


Yes, we certainly plan to sample the May menu. I will report back.
