It has been 17 years since I was in SF. But we had a great time and I do recall the live Asian food markets, seafood - crab - and the chowder in the hollowed out bread rolls. It was a lovely city to spend a few days in. It would be great to return.

Apple cider is popular here (there's a great place outside of San Diego that has a apple festival!) but I haven't seen pear perry. Now I'm going to have to try and find some perry! Thanks for the suggestion Andy. -MW

Could also be a marketing idea....
I know some big makes like Magners also don't use the word perry but do use pear on the label. Then like you say people will immediately know what it is which is a good thing as it spreads the word about. Just don't call it a pear cider at a festival...LO...

It's definately worth a visit
Hard work changing menus completely every month, so let's see how they go, but the staff were very enthusiastic and there was a very positive buzz. Let us know your reactions if you visit the restaurant. Regards Andrew
