When I ate at Carnegie Deli, I didn't think it came anywhere as close as Katz's. The pastrami sandwich at Katz's blew Carnegie's out of the water IMO. Yes it was still good, but comparable to a pastrami sandwich at The Hat. Never tried Artie's or Sage's, ...

I think Katz's and Carnegie Deli are decent, not superb. For my taste buds, I much prefer Sarge's and the 2nd Avenue Deli (now on 33rd Street). I think both have much better bread, meat, and pickles. And if you go for matzoh ball soup, Sarge's is my all-t...

Mustard at Sarge's is very good, although I think the mustard at the 2nd Ave. deli is a notch up. All of the food at Sarge's is excellent, in my opinion. I must say that Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor, Michigan is one of my all-time favorites. It's truly a...

Hello Jed! I haven't tried Brent's in the Valley but I'm out there a lot. Jerry's and Art's on Ventura Blvd are the only two I have been to as Jerry's is open 24 hrs. Does Brent's cure their own pastrami? I must add them to my 'Gotta Eat There" list! -MW

Hi Ming, I agree with you about Canter's in Los Angeles. But I've been going to Izzy's on Wilshire Blvd in Santa MOnica. Just love their pastrami and chopped liver combo sandwiches. My mouth aches afterwards from stretching it so wide to take a bite. Chee...
